Vintage East German Space Age Chrome Table Lamp - 1970s

Striking Space Age table lamp from East Germany, dating from the 1960s/70s. The sculptural design combines a textured glass globe with a sweeping black metal frame and polished chrome base. When illuminated, the heavily structured glass creates a soft, atmospheric glow while highlighting its distinctive ice-like texture. With its bold crescent-shaped silhouette and contrasting materials, the lamp is a characteristic example of the futuristic design language of the Space Age period and works equally well as a functional light source and a sculptural interior object. Very good vintage condition with age-related traces of use. Approx. 36 cm high, 30 cm diameter. European plug.
