Soft Ply Table Lamp (Lacquered Paper)

The Soft Ply Lamp transforms lacquered paper into a lightweight yet durable structure. Multiple layers of lacquer reinforce the paper, creating a semi-rigid, shell-like shade while preserving the material’s subtle texture and delicate appearance. Designed for use in the home, the lamp produces a warm, softly diffused light and brings a distinctive material presence to an interior. The shade rests on a minimal aluminium base, creating a balanced contrast between the paper’s tactile surface and the precision of the metal. Both functional and sculptural, the Soft Ply Lamp reflects an experimental approach to construction, showing how an ordinarily fragile material can become strong, stable, and suitable for everyday use.
