Modernist Sterling Silver Candleholders, 1934

A beautiful pair of Modernist candlesticks from the renowned Swedish firm GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget). Made in 1934, these candlesticks showcase the clean geometric forms characteristic of early Modernist design emerging out of the Art Deco period. They feature polished sterling silver dishes and trim paired with elegant blackened wood bases, embodying the functional simplicity and elegance that Swedish Modernist design is renowned for. Each candlestick is properly marked with the GAB maker's mark, Swedish national silver control mark, and the date mark for 1934, confirming their authentic provenance and date of manufacture.
