Brass Candelabra, Sweden, 1950s

This nine-armed brass candelabra is an exquisite example of 1950s design, likely crafted by Ystad Metall, a distinguished Swedish company celebrated for its exceptional metalwork. Made from high-quality brass, it features nine adjustable arms, each candleholder bearing the "Made in Sweden" stamp—a testament to the authenticity and craftsmanship of Scandinavian design. The candelabra is designed for small candles with a diameter of 1.2 cm, perfect for creating intimate lighting and cozy atmospheres. Over time, the brass has developed a subtle patina that enhances its vintage charm, though it can be polished to achieve a more brilliant finish if desired.

This piece embodies the Scandinavian mid-century modern design ethos, characterized by its clean lines, functionality, and blend of traditional and contemporary aesthetics. Its elegant design makes it an ideal centerpiece for dining tables, mantels, or living room displays, complementing a range of interior styles from classic to modern. Whether polished to a gleaming shine or left with its natural patina, the candelabra brings a touch of sophistication and vintage appeal to any space.
